Inspired by Nature

I'm Melody and live in a beautiful thatched cottage in Bozeat. Previously a professional dog trainer, behaviourist and now a brand designer and photographer. But over the last few years I have found that creating my art has really spoken to my soul and helps to relax me. My English Springer Spaniels and walking out in nature always inspires me, so it is only right that I delve deeper and create beautiful pieces of art that reveals the true beautiful energy and form of nature and animals.

I mostly work in my studio log cabin in garden, listening to the birds. I love to work with charcoal, pastels, linocut printmaking and cyanotype. I find creating monochrome art really helps to bring out the real soul and pares back all the noise that colour can to reveal the real beauty.

Every Anise piece has a history — from the relationship with the artisan, to the life of the wearer. We design each of our collections with the intention of creating pieces that can be passed down through generations, with minimal waste and minimal carbon footprint. Our jewelry is all made by local artisans based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with expertise in traditional methods of crafting jewelry by hand.
