About Melody
Inspired by John Constable, Monet, William Morris and the arts and crafts style. My passion is learning heritage crafts and creating new skills. I have found creating miniatures so rewarding and fulfils my creative needs. I love that one minute I’m painting a miniature landscape and another time working with wood, creating food with polymer clay, weaving a basket or throwing on my miniature pottery wheel. Even my wooden frames are handcrafted by myself.
Inspired by the King’s Foundation and a member of Heritage Craft, I believe it is so important to produce quality over quantity, using traditional skills rather than mass produced. I love exploring antique and vintage interiors and accessories. Preserving our history, keeping skills going and preventing them from being endangered in the modern world.
